Receive the Results
After you choose a specific type of hospitalization, click on "View Results" at the bottom of the page. the following information will be displayed:

• The name, address and telephone number of the hospital you chose.
  
  
• The number of discharges, the average length of stay, and information about the average and median charges for (1) the selected hospital; (2) all hospitals in the selected county; (3) all hospitals with similar patient volume as the selected hospital; and (4) all Georgia hospitals. Please note the charges listed are for hospital services only. They do not include physician charges such as those for a surgeon or anesthesiologist. Also note: the informaton for average length of stay, average and median charges can be adjusted by selecting a severity of illness level to account for differences in how sick the patients are for the selected hospital.
  
  
• Overall information about charges and payments to the selected hospital from different types of insurers:
  
  The bar graph shows the distribution of hospital charges for all patients by payer type (Total Charges, Medicare, and Medicaid/other government programs).
  
  
• A table that shows the impact that a hospital has on the economics of the community. As well as, the value that the hospital provides for nidigent care, charity care, bad debt and other free care services.
