Integrative medicine tailored to your child’s needs
At Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, we care for the whole person, not just a disease or symptom. Our Pediatric Integrative Oncology Program combines standard cancer treatments with proven therapies like nutrition, mind-body support and lifestyle care. Our team of experts is trained in both pediatric oncology and integrative medicine, ensuring safe, coordinated care to support your child’s comfort, healing and well-being.
How does integrative medicine help my child?
We work closely with your child’s oncology team to provide safe, personalized integrative care that supports their cancer treatment. Our evidence-based therapies can help:
- Ease side effects like nausea, sleep problems and fatigue
- Reduce pain and muscle tension
- Lower anxiety, depression and stress
- Support healthy eating and overall well-being
- Guide your child’s safe use of herbs, vitamins and supplements
Is my child eligible for pediatric integrative oncology care?
Your child can join our program at any stage–during treatment, after treatment or in survivorship care. We accept referrals as early as the time of diagnosis. Just ask your primary oncology or inpatient team to send a referral, and we’ll take care of the rest.
